Pandina Bella

Pandina Bella placed 4th in the Belgian Open Filly Foal Championships. She is a KWPN studbook mare. Pandina Bella had a filly foal by Ekstein in 2001 named Una Bella m2s, retained by Morningside Stud for our breeding program. In 2002 Pandina Bella produced a full-sister to Una Bella, named Violetta Bella m2s, also retained for our breeding program. In 2006 Pandina Bella had a filly foal by Conspiracy m2s, named Bianca Bella m2s, that was sold to Hillview House Stud in Ireland. In 2007 Pandina Bella produced a bay filly by Condios named Condina Bella m2s that was sold to Uruguay. In 2009 she produced a skewbald filly by Cornet Obolensky, named Aibhlinn Bella m2s, that had to be euthanized. In 2010 she produced a bay filly by Condios, named Bandina Bella m2s, a full-sister to Condina Bella m2s. In 2011 she produced a bay colt by Condios, named Con Spirito m2s, named a Star Foal by the Warmblood Studbook of Ireland. Pandina Bella produced a bay colt by Desir du Chateau in 2012, named Derek Jeter m2s.

Sire: Landino was a successful international Grand Prix jumper under Ludo Philippaerts and a rising star of the Belgian Warmblood Studbook. He was sold to Poland where he continued jumping Grand Prix and Nations Cup classes until he was retired to stud. Among his accomplishments were 2nd in the Grand Prix of Valkenswaard, 4th in the Grand Prix of Monte Carlo, and 2nd in the CSI of Eindhoven. Landino's sire, Landgraf I, was Germany's greatest sire of showjumpers. Landino's dam, Palatina, competed successfully in S-level (1.50) metre competitions in Germany. Landino's dam-sire, Roman, was a successful showjumper and established his reputation as the dam-sire of important stallions such as Cantus, Larome, Tin Rocco, Calvin Z, Carolus I - II, Cor-Deur, and Rouletto. Roman's dam, Dorette, is also the dam of Farn, the sire of Nimmerdor. Two highly influential thoroughbreds are in Landino's motherline: Water Serpent xx, the Irish-born sire of important showjumpers such as The Quiet Man, The Rock, Roclette, Kilkenny, and Gowran Girl, and Cottage Son xx, sire of top Holsteiners such as Consul Codex, Corporal, and Capitano and grandsire of Ramiro.

Dam: Dorina Bella is a Keur mare of the KWPN and a full-sister to Play It Again (registered name Fedor), who competed in the 1996 Olympics under Canadian Ian Millar and won the Nation's Cup in New York and twice won the Nation's Cup in Toronto. She is also a full-sister to the international showjumper Hallo Hallo (registered name Emir) under Henk van de Pol and a half-sister to the international eventer Heerle's Triple A (registered name Wibo) under Andre van Spaendonck.

This damline also produced the international showjumpers Emir, Montreux (approved KWPN stallion), Opal, Patent, Robbedoes, Patrick, Ricardo, Ivoor, Waldo E, Kingsten, Matador S, Udiana, Dirco, and Orley.

Besides Pandina Bella, Dorina Bella produced Hamlet, an M-level dressage and M-level showjumper; Iris Bella, a Prestatie mare (she she produced at least three progeny that did well in sport) and B-level showjumper that is also the dam of the KWPN-approved and SBS-approved sire Montreux; Jorina Bella, a Keur Preferent mare that is the dam of the third ring stallion Prsley and the Argentina-appoved jumping sire Red Devil; Kulsdom H, an L-level dressage and B-level showjumper; and Montecristo H, a B-level dressage competitor.

Dam-sire Voltaire is one of the world's greatest sires and the Preferent star of the KWPN. Voltaire was the sire with the most offspring at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Moreover Voltaire was second in 1999 in the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses ranking of showjumping sires. Voltaire has 28 offspring jumping internationally and over 30 approved sons in Europe. Many of his offspring jump at Grand Prix level, i.e. Finesse, Altaire, Kahlua, Helios, Electro, Dante (the dam of Holiday), Especial, etc. Voltaire is also recognized as a sire of dressage horses. Foltaire is a famous offspring of Voltaire in the international dressage ring.

Sophia Bella, the dam of Dorina Bella, was a Ster Preferent Prestatie mare that produced the aforementioned international eventer Harlee's Triple A (Wibo) and the international showjumpers Play It Again (Fedor) and Hallo-Hallo (Emir) along with the the Z-level showjumping mare Golinda Bella; the M-level dressage and L-level showjumper Hebron; the Ster Preferent mare Izmira-Bella (dam of the AES-approveds stallion Patrick); the Z-level showjumper Kalish; the L-level showjumping mare Layka Bella; the Ster Prok (Prok signifies her x-rays are of the same standard as is requred for KWPN-approved stallions) L-level showjumping mare Ninka Bella; the Elite mare Odessa Bella (Elite is the new term for Prok); and the L-level showjumper Replay.

Plans for 2013: Produced a filly by Desir du Chateau on 19 July, named Eibhleann Bella m2s. She is a full-sister of Derek Jeter m2s.
